Sri Lanka Cricket (SLC) is the national governing body for cricket in Sri Lanka. Operating under the “1 Team 1 Nation” banner, SLC fosters high-performance teams and provides extensive professional growth pathways for sports science, strength, and conditioning experts dedicated to maximizing athlete durability and peak performance.
Degree or professional qualification in Sports Science, Exercise Science, Physical Education, or a related field.
Professional certification in strength and conditioning will be an added advantage.
A minimum of 2 years of experience working in elite sport or high-performance cricket environments.
Strong knowledge of strength training, conditioning principles, and injury prevention.
Ability to design and deliver structured fitness programmes for elite athletes.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple squads/levels.
Experience working with multidisciplinary high-performance teams.
Basic IT knowledge and proficiency in MS Office packages.
Design and implement strength and conditioning programmes tailored to team and player requirements.
Monitor player fitness levels and ensure structured conditioning plans are followed.
Conduct fitness assessments, testing, and performance evaluations.
Work closely with coaches, medical staff, and performance analysts to optimise player readiness.
Manage injury prevention strategies and rehabilitation support in coordination with medical teams.
Maintain accurate fitness records and performance data.
Provide ongoing feedback and reporting on player physical development.
Support match preparation through targeted conditioning plans.
