Position Details

The Claims Head will lead the claims department, oversee claims operations and ensure service excellence in line with company policies and insurer guidelines. The role will contribute to operational efficiency, regulatory compliance and customer satisfaction.

Qualifications & Experience

• Insurance qualification such as CII / SLII / ACII or an equivalent professional qualification.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in claims handling within the insurance industry.
• At least 2 years of experience in a supervisory or managerial role.
• Strong knowledge of general insurance products and claims procedures.
• Good understanding of industry regulations and compliance requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead, mentor and manage the claims team to achieve operational goals.
• Oversee and ensure efficient end-to-end claims handling from intimation to settlement.
• Ensure timely, accurate and fair claim settlements in accordance with company policies and insurer guidelines.
• Liaise with insurers, clients, surveyors and other stakeholders.
• Monitor claim reserves and ensure proper reporting and documentation.
• Identify trends and analyse performance to implement process improvements.
• Ensure compliance with internal policies and regulatory requirements.
