Position Details

The Branch Manager will oversee the branch as a profit centre, lead the branch team, develop sales and credit strategies, grow the SME lending portfolio and strengthen relationships with customers and the local business community.

Qualifications & Experience

Applicants should possess:

• Full or part qualification in Banking or IBSL.
• A Bachelor’s Degree will be an added advantage.
• Minimum 10 years of work experience in a Commercial Bank.
• At least 3 years of experience serving as a Branch Manager with leadership exposure.
• Sound communication skills and a flair for public relations.
• Innovative leadership skills within a performance-driven culture.
• A strong service-oriented mindset.
• Hands-on experience in lending and growing the loan book.
• Knowledge of both Retail Banking and SME Banking.
• Adequate exposure to Credit Administration.
• Knowledge of Consumer Banking Operations and Credit Evaluation.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and operate the branch as a profit centre, adhering to established norms and operational guidelines.
• Develop and execute integrated sales, relationship management, deposit mobilisation and credit strategies in line with the Area Business Plan.
• Improve service quality and customer experience.
• Ensure continuous growth of the branch’s SME lending portfolio.
• Achieve budgeted lending targets, with a focus on mid- and large-sized SME businesses.
• Set KPIs for branch staff and regularly review their progress.
• Foster a collaborative environment where staff work together to achieve business goals.
• Identify cross-selling opportunities to support portfolio growth.
• Guide the team to deepen customer relationships.
• Increase client acquisition and retention.
• Engage with the local business community to drive continuous business growth.
• Participate in relevant society events and functions.
