Qualifications & Experience

• Certificate, Diploma, NVQ or equivalent qualification in Fabrication, Welding, Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in steel fabrication and welding.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering and fabrication drawings.
• Knowledge of MIG, TIG and Arc Welding techniques will be an added advantage.
• Experience in structural steel fabrication projects will be an advantage.
• Familiarity with fabrication tools, machinery and safety procedures.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Good physical fitness and willingness to work at project sites.
• A valid driving licence will be an added advantage.

Key Responsibilities

• Read and interpret technical drawings, fabrication plans and project specifications.
• Measure, cut, drill, grind and assemble steel components accurately.
• Perform welding, fitting and fabrication work for steel structures and assemblies.
• Ensure fabricated products comply with required quality and safety standards.
• Carry out repairs and modifications to existing steel structures when required.
• Operate fabrication machinery, welding equipment and hand tools safely and efficiently.
• Support site installation and commissioning activities as required.
• Maintain accurate and high-quality fabrication work according to project specifications.
• Follow established workplace safety procedures when handling machinery, welding equipment and materials.
• Maintain a safe, clean and organized working environment.

Required Skills

• Strong steel fabrication and welding skills.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering and fabrication drawings.
• Good knowledge of fabrication tools, machinery and equipment.
• Knowledge of MIG, TIG and Arc Welding techniques will be an advantage.
• Strong attention to detail and quality workmanship.
• Good understanding of workplace safety procedures.
• Ability to measure, cut, drill, grind and assemble steel components accurately.
• Good technical and practical problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and effectively as part of a team.
• Good physical fitness for fabrication and project site work.
