Job Description

The selected candidate will be responsible for providing visionary leadership for all medical services. The role focuses on strengthening clinical governance, ensuring patient safety and quality, engaging medical talent, achieving revenue targets and driving excellence in healthcare delivery.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide strategic leadership for all medical services across hospitals, laboratories and outreach centers.
• Strengthen clinical governance, patient safety, quality and accreditation standards.
• Lead, engage and develop consultants and clinical teams to deliver excellent patient-centered care.
• Drive clinical performance, achieve revenue targets and promote continuous quality improvement.
• Champion medical education, research, innovation and professional development.
• Ensure regulatory compliance and build strategic partnerships with stakeholders.
• Oversee risk management, medico-legal matters and ethical clinical practice.

Qualifications and Requirements

• MBBS qualification and registration with the Sri Lanka Medical Council (SLMC) is mandatory.
• Additional qualification in Healthcare Management, Hospital Administration or MBA will be an advantage.
• Minimum 10 years of clinical experience, with 5+ years in senior medical leadership.
• Proven track record in clinical governance, accreditation, patient safety and leading multidisciplinary teams.
• Strong strategic, analytical and leadership capabilities with a passion for excellence.
