A state-owned, licensed specialized bank in Sri Lanka is seeking qualified and experienced professionals to serve as Independent Non-Executive Directors. The selected individuals will contribute to strengthening corporate governance, strategic oversight and effective decision-making within the bank.

The ideal candidate should have strong expertise in Information & Communication Technology (ICT).

Candidate Profile

Applicants should:

• Be 67 years of age or below at the closing date of applications.
• Hold a Bachelor’s Degree from a recognized university.
• Applicants with postgraduate qualifications and/or professional certifications or memberships are preferred.
• Have a proven track record of experience in senior corporate-level positions in their area of expertise.
• Meet the fitness and propriety requirements specified by the Central Bank of Sri Lanka.
• Demonstrate strong leadership, professional integrity and sound judgment in corporate decision-making.
• Be able to contribute independently to the strategic direction and governance of the bank.
• Have strong expertise in Information & Communication Technology (ICT).

Eligibility Restrictions

Potential applicants should not be:

• An employee, consultant or director of a licensed bank in Sri Lanka.
• A public servant or a government contractor.

Applicants who have a personal or financial interest in, or a material business relationship with, the recruiting bank will not be selected to serve as an independent director.

Appointment Conditions

• Remuneration will be paid in accordance with Public Enterprises Circular No. 03/2015 dated 17.06.2015 and its amendments issued by the Ministry of Finance.
• Initial appointments will be for a period of 3 years.
• Female candidates are encouraged to apply.
