Job Overview

Chevron Lubricants Lanka PLC, a market leader in Sri Lanka’s local lubricant industry and part of Chevron Corporation, USA, is looking for a Lead – Base Oil Terminal for its Base Oil Terminal (BOT) located in Mutwal.

The Job Role

The selected candidate will lead Base Oil discharging operations from the port to the manufacturing plant. Key duties include:

• Managing Base Oil transfers from the Port to BOT and from BOT to the manufacturing plant via tank trucks.
• Liaising with Production teams to receive Base Oil tankers at the Port.
• Coordinating with independent surveyors during Base Oil tanker discharging.
• Ensuring sufficient ullage based on parcel size.
• Conducting physical verification of stocks at dispatch points, including tankers and BOT.
• Coordinating with the Base Oil Operator for daily tank measurements according to Chevron guidelines.
• Ensuring accuracy of documentation and security checks before Base Oil transfers.
• Issuing Work Permits for maintenance activities within the BOT.

Requirements

• Minimum 3 passes at G.C.E. A/L, preferably in the Maths/Science streams; OR
• Passed G.C.E. O/L together with a vocational training qualification from a reputed institution such as NAITA, VTA, DTET, NYSC, CGTTI or SLTTI.
• Minimum 1–2 years of experience in a plant/manufacturing environment.
• Good interpersonal skills and previous experience working in a team environment.
• Working knowledge of English and computer literacy.
• The job involves working at height, and candidates may undergo medical testing to assess the required fitness and endurance.

Additional Requirements

• Knowledge of Operational Excellence and Quality Management Systems.
• Previous experience in the petroleum industry or a related discipline.
