Position Details

The Information Security Officer will be responsible for maintaining and strengthening the organisation’s information security policies, governance, infrastructure security, awareness, and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor’s Degree in Information Security from a recognised university; or
• Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or Information Systems Management from a recognised university, together with one of the following qualifications:
  • Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP)
  • Certified Chief Information Security Officer (CCISO)
  • Certified Information Security Manager (CISM)
  • Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA)
  • Certified in Risk and Information Systems Control (CRISC)
  • Certified in the Governance of Enterprise IT (CGEIT)
• Information Security Management Systems Auditor/Lead Auditor (ISO 27001) qualification.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in Information Security, with a key focus on Information Security Policy and Program Management in a reputed organisation.
• Experience in handling Information Security Policy and Governance would be an added advantage.
• Experience in a finance institution is preferred.

Key Responsibilities

• Review and update the IT Security Policy periodically.
• Review existing IT-related policies and procedures, identify gaps, and coordinate with relevant stakeholders to address them.
• Review applications used by the company for Information Security issues.
• Provide relevant Information Security awareness training to key staff within the organisation.
• Monitor the stability and security of IT infrastructure through ad hoc and regular testing/verifications.
• Escalate IT incidents to Management with risk analysis and proposed corrective measures.
• Ensure regulatory frameworks introduced by the regulator are adopted and implemented by the company within stipulated timeframes.

Required Skills

• Strong knowledge of Information Security policies and governance.
• Information Security risk analysis and incident management capabilities.
• Knowledge of IT security testing and verification.
• Ability to identify security gaps and coordinate corrective actions.
• Strong communication and stakeholder coordination skills.
• Ability to conduct Information Security awareness training.
• Understanding of regulatory compliance requirements.
