Job Summary

The Cashier will manage customer payment transactions, issue receipts and refunds, balance cash drawers, and provide friendly customer service. This role requires attention to detail, honesty, and the ability to work efficiently during busy periods while maintaining accurate financial records.

Key Responsibilities

Customer Service

• Welcome customers in a friendly and professional manner.
• Provide excellent customer service throughout each transaction.
• Respond to customer inquiries courteously.
• Create a positive customer experience.

Cash Handling

• Process cash, credit card, debit card, and other payment transactions accurately.
• Handle customer payments efficiently.
• Maintain accuracy during all financial transactions.
• Ensure compliance with company cash handling procedures.

Receipts & Refunds

• Issue receipts for customer purchases.
• Process refunds accurately when required.
• Provide correct change to customers.
• Handle payment documentation properly.

Cash Drawer Management

• Maintain and balance the cash drawer at the beginning of each shift.
• Reconcile cash balances at the end of each working day.
• Ensure accurate cash records.
• Report discrepancies immediately.

Qualifications & Requirements

Applicants should possess:

• GCE Ordinary Level (O/L) or equivalent educational qualification.
• Previous experience as a cashier or in customer service will be an added advantage.
• Basic mathematical skills.
• Basic computer literacy.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• High attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to work under pressure during busy periods.
• Honest, reliable, and customer-focused personality.
