The Ministry of Transport, Highways and Urban Development is inviting applications from qualified Sri Lankan citizens, including Government and Semi-Government officers, for the post of Senior Engineer under the Inclusive Connectivity & Development Project (ICDP).

Project Overview

The Inclusive Connectivity & Development Project (ICDP) is implemented under the Ministry of Transport, Highways and Urban Development to enhance road connectivity and infrastructure development across Sri Lanka.

Qualifications & Experience

Applicants must satisfy one of the following qualification pathways under Category C of Management Services Circular No. 02/2026:

Option 1

• Bachelor’s Degree in the relevant field
• Associate Membership or similar professional qualification obtained from a recognized professional body
• Minimum 08 years of managerial-level experience in the relevant field

Option 2

• Corporate Membership or similar professional qualification obtained from a recognized professional body
• Minimum 06 years of managerial-level experience in the relevant field

Option 3

• Class I officer of a Government All-Island Service or similar status in the relevant field
• Associate Membership or similar professional qualification from a recognized professional body
• Minimum 02 years of experience in a Class I post or equivalent position

Age Limit

• Below 60 years for Government and Semi-Government officers
• Below 64 years for external applicants

Salary & Benefits

• Salary and allowances will be paid according to Management Services Circular No. 02/2026 issued by the Ministry of Finance, Planning and Economic Development.

Terms of Employment

• Contract basis appointment
• Initially for a period of one year
• Extensions may be granted based on service requirements and performance evaluations
