The company is looking for technically skilled professionals capable of leading maintenance teams, ensuring operational reliability, and handling engineering maintenance activities efficiently.

Job Description

The Technical Foreman will be responsible for supervising and executing mechanical, electrical, and civil maintenance activities related to plant operations and buildings. The role involves troubleshooting technical issues, coordinating with production teams, managing maintenance documentation, and ensuring uninterrupted utility services within the facility.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan, supervise, and execute:
  • Mechanical maintenance
  • Electrical maintenance
  • Civil maintenance activities
• Ensure continuous and reliable utility supply including:
  • Electricity
  • Compressed Air
  • HVAC systems
• Diagnose technical faults and implement corrective actions.
• Lead maintenance teams and coordinate with production departments.
• Drive maintenance performance and reliability improvements.
• Maintain maintenance history records and technical documentation.
• Ensure workplace safety, cleanliness, and workshop organization.
• Prepare BOQ documentation and purchase requests for engineering materials.
• Monitor preventive and corrective maintenance schedules.

Required Qualifications and Skills

• Diploma in:
  • Electrical Engineering
  • Mechanical Engineering
  • Civil Engineering
• NVQ Level 5 qualification.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in plant and building maintenance.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency in:
  • AutoCAD
  • MS Office Package
  • SAP
• Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing and TPM will be an added advantage.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks.
• Good communication skills in English and Sinhala.

Preferred Skills

• Experience in manufacturing plant maintenance
• Knowledge of preventive maintenance systems
• Team leadership and workshop management abilities
• Familiarity with engineering material planning and procurement
• Understanding of industrial utility systems and compliance standards
