The company is currently seeking motivated and energetic individuals for Storekeeper and Assistant Storekeeper positions at its Biyagama Warehouse operations.

Storekeeper – Biyagama Warehouse

Job Description

The selected candidate will be responsible for supervising and coordinating daily warehouse operations across the General Store and Finished Goods sections. The role involves inventory management, logistics coordination, materials handling, ERP system usage, and maintaining operational efficiency within SAP MM and EWMS environments supporting ceramic tile manufacturing operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate warehouse operations efficiently.
• Manage inventory control and stock accuracy across warehouse sections.
• Coordinate logistics and materials handling activities.
• Maintain warehouse documentation and operational records.
• Ensure proper use of SAP MM and EWMS systems for warehouse management.
• Monitor safety standards and operational procedures within the warehouse.
• Support productivity and workflow improvements in warehouse operations.
• Maintain housekeeping and 5S standards within the warehouse environment.

Required Qualifications and Skills

For Storekeeper Position

• Diploma in:
  • Inventory Management
  • Logistics
  • Supply Chain Management
  • Business Administration
  • Finance
  • Engineering
  • Related field
• Minimum 3 years of experience in warehouse or storekeeping operations.

For Assistant Storekeeper Position

• Certificate qualification in one of the above-mentioned disciplines.
• Minimum 1 year of relevant experience.

General Requirements

• Basic computer literacy and communication skills.
• Practical experience using ERP systems will be an added advantage.
• Basic knowledge of:
  • 5S practices
  • Warehouse housekeeping standards
  • Inventory handling procedures
• Age between 20 and 35 years.
• Outgoing personality with strong teamwork abilities.

Preferred Skills

• Knowledge of warehouse management systems
• Inventory tracking and stock reconciliation skills
• Ability to work in fast-paced operational environments
• Good organizational and coordination abilities
• Attention to detail and operational accuracy
