No accounting experience is required, as full practical, on-the-job training in bookkeeping and accounting will be provided. Organization Overview
The company runs a BPO accounting team in Moratuwa that supports UK-based clients with bookkeeping, sales and purchase processing, reconciliations and financial reporting.
Qualifications & Experience
- Strong numerical skills, including a good result in G.C.E. O/L Mathematics
- A/L completion is not essential
- Candidates who have studied A/L Mathematics or Commerce are also encouraged to apply
- No prior accounting studies or work experience required; a willingness to learn is essential
Key Responsibilities
- With training and supervision, record bookkeeping entries and process sales and purchase invoices
- Assist with bank reconciliations and maintain customer and supplier account records
- Support the preparation of financial reports for UK clients
Required Skills
- Accuracy, attention to detail and confidence working with numbers
- Basic computer skills; familiarity with MS Excel and accurate data entry skills are added advantages
- Good written and spoken English
- A positive attitude, teamwork and care when handling confidential information
