Job Overview
ChildFund Sri Lanka is seeking an experienced Senior Manager – Resource Mobilization to lead the organization’s resource mobilization strategy and strengthen its funding portfolio. Reporting to the Country Director, the successful candidate will drive donor engagement, proposal development, partnership building, and strategic fundraising initiatives to support ChildFund’s mission of improving the lives of children and communities across Sri Lanka.

Qualifications & Experience
Applicants should possess the following qualifications and experience:
- Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant discipline or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Minimum 8–10 years of experience in resource mobilization, business development, fundraising, or international development.
- Proven success in leading and winning competitive proposals and securing institutional or donor funding.
- Experience in consortium building and managing complex proposal development processes.
- Strong knowledge of international donor requirements and funding mechanisms.
- Demonstrated experience in proposal writing, editing, packaging, and donor communications.
- Experience in competitor analysis, donor intelligence, and partnership development.
- Excellent leadership, strategic planning, and stakeholder engagement skills.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement ChildFund Sri Lanka’s country resource mobilization and fundraising strategy.
- Build and maintain a strong funding pipeline aligned with organizational priorities.
- Lead donor engagement and relationship management with institutional donors, foundations, and development partners.
- Coordinate the development of high-quality concept notes, proposals, and donor submissions.
- Provide strategic leadership in identifying new funding opportunities and partnerships.
- Collaborate with technical and program teams to develop competitive funding proposals.
- Monitor donor trends and generate funding intelligence.
- Strengthen partnerships with government agencies, NGOs, private sector organizations, and international donors.
- Oversee proposal development processes from opportunity identification to submission.
- Ensure compliance with donor requirements and ChildFund policies.
- Represent ChildFund at donor meetings, forums, and networking events.
- Promote innovation and strategic positioning to enhance organizational sustainability.
