Organization Overview
The Institute of Chartered Accountants of Sri Lanka (CA Sri Lanka) is the national professional accountancy organisation of Sri Lanka, established by an Act of Parliament. It awards the CA professional qualification, regulates the accounting and auditing profession, sets Sri Lanka Accounting and Auditing Standards, and runs the CA Sri Lanka Business School. The Institute is located at No. 30A, Malalasekera Mawatha, Colombo 07.
Qualifications & Experience
- Senior Manager – Audit Quality Monitoring: over 10 years of post-qualification experience
- Manager – Audit Quality Monitoring: approximately 5 years of post-qualification experience
- Membership of CA Sri Lanka
- Significant post-qualification experience in auditing, audit quality and quality management
- Sound and up-to-date knowledge of Sri Lanka Auditing Standards (SLAuSs) and Sri Lanka Accounting Standards
- Professionals who have retired from full-time roles or taken career breaks for family commitments, and possess up-to-date technical knowledge, are encouraged to apply for flexible or part-time engagement opportunities
Key Responsibilities
- Assess and evaluate the operating effectiveness of compliance with Sri Lanka Standard on Quality Management (SLSQM 1)
- Review, analyse and evaluate audit-quality related information and evidence with a high degree of professional scepticism
- Exercise sound professional judgment in assessing the quality of professional practices of practising firms
- Engage with Partners, Directors and senior executives of audit firms on audit quality, quality management and professional standards
Required Skills
- Strong analytical, communication, interpersonal and report-writing skills
- High standards of integrity, independence, objectivity, professional scepticism and professional judgment
- Willingness to undertake on-site visits, travel frequently and meet demanding deadlines
