Job Overview
The role focuses on managing post-contract quantity surveying and commercial activities including cost control, subcontractor evaluations, interim payment applications, variation claims, and final accounts.
Job Summary
The selected candidate will work closely with project teams, consultants, clients, and subcontractors to ensure effective commercial management and timely financial administration.
Job Profile
- Manage all post-contract commercial and contractual activities of projects
- Prepare IPCs/IPA and evaluate subcontractor payment applications
- Monitor project cost control, budgets, and cash flow forecasts
- Handle variations, claims, EOT submissions, and contractual correspondence
- Verify site progress, measurements, and work valuations
- Prepare and maintain cost reports, payment records, and commercial documentation
- Draft, review, and administer subcontract agreements and related documents
- Maintain documentation related to claims, disputes, approvals, and final accounts
- Coordinate with procurement, finance, operations, and project teams on commercial matters
- Assist management with commercial reporting, risk identification, and profitability analysis
- Lead and supervise QS team activities when required
Qualifications
- NVQ Level 5 / HND in Quantity Surveying with minimum 5 years of relevant post-contract experience
OR - BSc Degree in Quantity Surveying or equivalent with minimum 3 years of relevant post-contract experience
- Experience in building, infrastructure, roads, water & drainage, and piling projects will be advantageous
- Knowledge of ICTAD/CIDA standards and construction industry practices
