Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, or a relevant field.
- Part qualification in CA, CIMA, ACCA, or an equivalent professional qualification.
- Minimum 2 years of relevant work experience.
- Knowledge of Sri Lanka Accounting Standards.
- Experience in a Non-Bank Financial Institution (NBFI) and audit firms will be preferred.
- Strong aptitude for technology and software applications.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work independently and demonstrate a positive, driven, and proactive attitude.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in Sinhala and English.
- Ability to communicate in Tamil will be an added advantage.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure payment vouchers are properly authorized within stipulated timelines while complying with accounting policies and regulatory guidelines.
- Coordinate with branch staff to facilitate efficient payment processing.
- Identify process gaps and work hands-on with teams through necessary branch visits to implement stronger controls and improve operational efficiency.
- Analyze payment transactions to identify cost-saving opportunities.
- Develop and implement strategies to reduce expenses while maintaining high standards of quality and compliance.
- Monitor branch petty-cash usage and reimbursements.
- Ensure petty-cash transactions and reimbursements comply with accounting standards and legal requirements.
- Support the Finance & Accounting function in maintaining effective financial controls.
- Assist in identifying opportunities to improve finance-related processes and operational efficiency.
- Maintain accurate financial records and documentation.
- Perform other finance and accounting duties assigned by management.

- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices.
- Knowledge of Sri Lanka Accounting Standards.
- Good understanding of financial controls and compliance requirements.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
