Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor’s Degree recognized by the University Grants Commission (UGC) in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, or Business Administration with a specialization in Finance or Accountancy.
• Alternatively, a professional qualification at Corporate level of CA Sri Lanka, Management level of CIMA, or Strategic level of CMA.
• 1–2 years of relevant experience in the finance field.
• Candidates should have a sound understanding of accounting and financial reporting practices.
• Knowledge of insurance-sector financial operations will be an added advantage.
• Candidates should be below 30 years of age.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day financial operations and transactions while ensuring accuracy, completeness, and compliance with applicable policies, accounting standards, and regulatory requirements.
• Support the preparation of monthly financial statements, management reports, Board presentations, and financial analyses within stipulated timelines.
• Assist in ensuring compliance with IFRS 17 and IFRS 9 requirements, including financial data validation, reconciliations, system testing, and related reporting activities.
• Coordinate and support annual audits and assist with the preparation of Annual Reports.
• Support the preparation of financial information required for Annual General Meetings and statutory reporting requirements.
• Prepare and submit regulatory and financial reports to the Ministry, Central Bank, and other relevant authorities within prescribed deadlines.
• Perform investment reconciliations and SAP-based finance activities.
• Investigate financial discrepancies and ensure their timely resolution.
• Maintain accurate financial records and ensure reliable financial reporting.
• Support internal and external stakeholders with finance-related information and documentation.
• Assist with other financial and accounting activities assigned by management.
