Seylan Bank PLC is seeking a capable, analytical, and result-oriented professional to join its team as an Executive Officer / Senior Executive – Credit Analyst for its SME HUB setup. The successful candidate will play a core role in evaluating business proposals, conducting asset inspections, and monitoring portfolio performance within the SME segment.

Qualifications & Candidate Profile

The ideal candidate must possess:

• A minimum of 6–7 years of total professional experience, out of which 3–4 years must be directly within a Credit Analyst or similar specialized role.

• Full or part professional qualification in Banking / Finance from a recognized professional body.

• A Degree or a professional qualification in Management will be considered an added advantage.

• Strong analytical, investigation, interpersonal, and communication skills in English, both verbal and written.

Key Responsibilities

the selected executive will be responsible for:

• Appraising SME credit proposals based on documents provided by branches strictly within the stipulated Turnaround Time (TAT).

• Undertaking joint business inspections and property visits alongside Branch SME Relationship Officers.

• Coordinating closely with SME Relationship Officers at branches and directly with clients to obtain crucial information to expedite credit proposals.

• Liaising with the Area Office and Seylan Head Office to track the status of recommended proposals and expedite approvals.

• Initiating title verification and property valuations, and liaising with external legal agencies to obtain reports within the stipulated timeline.

• Ensuring periodic review of credit facilities that are currently in the performing grade.

• Preparing Term Extension Facilities (TEFs) for temporary client requests, and restructuring or rescheduling performing facilities.

• Collaborating with branches to ensure that any allowed excess or temporary facilities are settled promptly on due dates.

• Monitoring Non-Performing Assets (NPA) facilities and executing systematic follow-ups for settlement.
