Qualifications & Experience

• Certificate or Diploma in Nutrition, Food Service, Hospitality or a related field will be an added advantage.
• 0–2 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in a hospital or healthcare setting.
• G.C.E. Advanced Level qualification in any stream.
• Good knowledge of MS Office, especially Microsoft Word and Excel.
• Basic knowledge of therapeutic diets and food hygiene practices.
• Good communication, organizational and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work accurately and maintain confidentiality.
• Ability to perform duties in a shift-based environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Receive and accurately record patients’ prescribed diets.
• Collect meal selections and update daily patient diet lists.
• Coordinate with dietitians, nurses and kitchen staff regarding diet changes and special meal requirements.
• Ensure meals are prepared and distributed according to patients’ dietary instructions.
• Verify patient details, diet types and meal orders before meal distribution.
• Assist with reports, filing, data entry and other administrative duties assigned by the supervisor.
• Handle telephone inquiries and communicate meal-related information promptly.
• Maintain accurate diet-related records and documentation.
• Support the coordination of patient meal services.
• Follow hospital food safety, hygiene and patient confidentiality requirements.

• Basic knowledge of nutrition and therapeutic diets.
• Understanding of food hygiene and safe meal-handling practices.
