The company is registered and operates in the Battaramulla area of Colombo District.

Qualifications & Experience

• Professional qualification in Finance and Accounting.
• Passed G.C.E. Advanced Level Examination in Commerce subjects.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in the accounting or audit sector.
• Good computer literacy and knowledge of MS Office packages.
• Good letter-writing skills.
• Knowledge of Internet and Email.
• Ability to work with accounting software and learn customized accounting packages quickly.

Key Responsibilities

• Enter all bank-related transactions.
• Prepare monthly bank reconciliations.
• Enter customer deposits against invoices and cheque payments.
• Enter and check petty cash-related transactions and reports.
• Prepare import costing.
• Enter and complete monthly management accounts within given deadlines.
• Prepare required calculations and schedules for audit purposes.
• Calculate and reconcile control accounts, payable accounts, supplier accounts and debtor accounts.
• Enter final accrual entries required to complete audited accounts.
• Check and finalize audited accounts within given deadlines.
• Prepare tax computations in accordance with applicable regulations.
• Assist in the preparation and filing of tax returns.
• Maintain accurate accounting records and supporting documentation.
• Perform other accounting duties assigned by management.
