The successful candidate will be responsible for performing routine and specialized hematology testing while ensuring compliance with laboratory quality standards and safety protocols.

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor’s Degree in Medical Laboratory Science or an equivalent qualification.
• Valid professional license/registration with the relevant council (SLMC).
• Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience in a Hematology laboratory.
• Strong experience in routine and specialized hematology testing.
• Experience with CBC analysis, coagulation profiles, blood film analysis, and related laboratory procedures.
• Strong knowledge of laboratory quality management systems and safety protocols.
• Leadership and team management experience will be an added advantage.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform routine and specialized hematology laboratory tests.
• Conduct Complete Blood Count (CBC) testing and analysis.
• Perform coagulation studies and blood film examinations.
• Ensure accuracy and reliability of laboratory results.
• Maintain laboratory quality assurance and quality control procedures.
• Follow laboratory safety standards and infection control protocols.
• Maintain proper documentation and laboratory records.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives within the laboratory.
• Collaborate with pathologists, clinicians, and laboratory staff.
