Job Overview

Independent Television Network Ltd. (ITN), a premier media network in Sri Lanka operating ITN and Vasantham TV channels along with ITN Digital, invites applications from suitably qualified Sri Lankan citizens for the post of Manager (Digital) – Contract.

The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing digital media strategies, managing digital campaigns, achieving revenue targets and overseeing digital news, programme content and social media functions.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement digital media strategies aligned with organizational business goals.
• Achieve revenue targets assigned by the organization.
• Plan, organize, implement and control functions related to digital news, programme content and social media.
• Plan and manage paid advertising campaigns across platforms such as Google Ads, Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, YouTube and other digital channels.
• Oversee content creation for digital campaigns, including advertisements, videos, graphics and written content.
• Monitor and analyse campaign performance using Google Analytics, Meta Business Suite and other reporting tools.
• Optimize campaigns based on performance data to maximize ROI and meet KPIs.
• Collaborate with internal teams including content, design and product teams to maintain brand consistency.
• Stay updated on digital marketing trends, algorithm changes and industry best practices.
• Manage and maintain budgets for digital media campaigns.
• Provide detailed reports and actionable insights to stakeholders.
• Carry out necessary tasks to achieve organizational objectives of other divisions and sections.
• Perform general administration functions of the section.
• Undertake any other duties necessary to fulfil organizational objectives.

Educational Qualifications

Applicants should possess:

• A Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing Management, Digital Marketing and Communication/Digital Media, Information Technology or Information Systems, recognized by the University Grants Commission of Sri Lanka.

AND

• A Master’s Degree recognized by the University Grants Commission of Sri Lanka in Marketing Management, Digital Marketing and Communication/Digital Media, Information Technology or Information Systems.

Professional Experience

• Minimum 13 years of experience at managerial level in the relevant field.
• Relevant experience should cover areas such as:
  • Digital media strategy
  • Digital marketing
  • Digital news and programme content
  • Social media management
  • Digital advertising campaigns
  • Content creation
  • Campaign performance analysis
  • Digital media budget management
  • Related digital media functions
• Experience should be in a Corporation, Statutory Board or reputed institution.

Contract Allowance

Basic Monthly Allowance: Rs. 123,019/-
Cost of Living Allowance: Rs. 17,800/-

The allowances are based on the revised salary structure as per Schedule II of the Management Service Circular No. 01/2025.

Fringe Benefits

Selected candidates will be eligible for:

• Monthly attendance incentive allowance according to company regulations.
• Transport facilities applicable as per the relevant PED circulars, as decided by the Board of Directors.
• 24-hour insurance coverage for accidents.
• Provident Fund contributions of 10% by the employee and 15% by the employer.
• 3% ETF contribution by the employer.
