Job Overview
The National Institute of Plantation Management (NIPM), under the Ministry of Plantation and Community Infrastructure, invites applications from qualified Sri Lankan citizens for the post of Management Assistant (Non-Technological) – MA 1.1 (Grade III) on a permanent basis.

Organization Overview
The National Institute of Plantation Management (NIPM) is a government institution responsible for developing professional knowledge, management skills, and human resources for Sri Lanka’s plantation and related sectors.
Qualifications & Experience
External Applicants
Applicants should possess:
- Passed the G.C.E. Ordinary Level (O/L) examination in one sitting with credit passes for four subjects, including:
- Sinhala/Tamil Language
- Mathematics
- English Language
- Passed three subjects (excluding the General Paper) at the G.C.E. Advanced Level (A/L) examination.
Internal Applicants
Applicants should possess:
- Passed the G.C.E. O/L examination with required credit passes.
- Completed a minimum of five (05) years of satisfactory service in a permanent post under the employee category of Primary Level – Skilled, Primary Level – Semi-skilled, or Primary Level – Unskilled.
Age Requirement
- Minimum Age: 18 years
- Maximum Age: 45 years
The upper age limit does not apply to internal candidates.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform administrative and clerical duties assigned by the institute.
- Maintain records, files, and documentation.
- Assist with office operations and institutional activities.
- Support various administrative functions within the organization.
- Coordinate with internal departments to ensure smooth operations.
Required Skills
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to maintain accurate records and documentation.
- Organizational and administrative capabilities.
- Basic computer literacy and office management skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a government institutional environment.
Salary & Benefits
Salary Scale
MA 1.1 Salary Scale:
Rs. 46,220 – 10×540 – 7×630 – 4×890 – 20×1,190 – 83,390
Starting Salary
Rs. 43,312 per month
