Key Responsibilities

The selected candidate will be responsible for:

• Processing and scrutinizing credit appraisals received by the centralized credit department
• Conducting independent credit appraisals including:
  • Financial analysis
  • Operational analysis
  • Risk analysis
  • Credit scoring
• Preparing narrative credit notes for approvals
• Monitoring ongoing credit cases and facilities
• Identifying and evaluating risks associated with credit papers
• Recommending suitable risk mitigation plans
• Following up on processes related to security documents
• Assessing the creditworthiness of individuals and business entities
• Monitoring and reporting minor and critical risk issues to supervisors

Educational Qualifications

Candidates should possess:

• Degree or Diploma from a recognized university/institution
  or
• Equivalent professional qualification

Experience Requirements

• Minimum 1–2 years of work experience in:
  • Commercial banking
  • Financial institutions
  • Credit management-related roles

Required Skills

• Strong understanding of CBSL guidelines related to Credit Management
• Excellent Sinhala and English communication skills
• Tamil language ability will be an added advantage
• Good analytical and risk assessment capabilities
• Strong computer literacy
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently with minimum supervision
