Qualifications & Experience

Applicants should possess the following qualifications and experience:

• Membership of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Sri Lanka (CA Sri Lanka) or another recognized professional accounting body.
• Minimum of 20 years of experience in auditing, accounting, finance, or a related field.
• At least 5 years of experience in a senior managerial position.
• Strong knowledge of internal auditing, financial management, governance, and regulatory compliance.
• Excellent analytical, leadership, communication, and report-writing skills.
• Ability to work independently while maintaining the highest level of integrity and confidentiality.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan, manage, and execute the organization’s internal audit activities.
• Evaluate financial and operational controls to ensure efficiency and compliance.
• Identify risks and recommend practical improvements to internal control systems.
• Prepare comprehensive audit reports and present findings to senior management.
• Ensure compliance with statutory regulations, internal policies, and governance requirements.
• Monitor implementation of audit recommendations and corrective actions.
• Provide independent advice to improve organizational processes and risk management.
• Support management in strengthening accountability and operational effectiveness.
