Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, Auditing, or a related field
• Professional qualification such as CA Sri Lanka, ACCA, CIMA, CMA, or equivalent
• Minimum 10 years of experience in Internal Audit, External Audit, Risk Management, or Finance
• Proven experience in a leadership or senior management role
• Strong knowledge of auditing standards, governance frameworks, and regulatory compliance

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement a risk-based internal audit strategy and annual audit plan
• Evaluate internal controls, governance processes, and risk management systems
• Conduct financial, operational, compliance, and special audits across departments
• Identify risk areas and recommend improvements to enhance operational efficiency
• Monitor implementation of audit findings and corrective actions
• Ensure compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and internal policies
• Prepare and present audit reports to senior management and the Board
• Lead and develop the internal audit team while promoting accountability and continuous improvement
