Salary Scale

As per Public Administration Circular No. 01/2025:

• Salary Scale: Rs. 72,650 – 10 x 1,360 – 18 x 2,040 – 122,970
• Salary Step from 01.01.2025: Rs. 65,633.00
• Government approved allowances applicable

Job Responsibilities

• Support accounting, budgeting, and financial administration activities.
• Prepare financial reports, statements, and budget documentation.
• Assist in maintaining financial records and accounting systems.
• Coordinate audit-related activities and compliance requirements.
• Monitor institutional financial transactions and operational expenses.
• Support financial planning and internal control functions.
• Ensure compliance with government financial regulations and procedures.

Required Qualifications

External Applicants

Applicants should possess one of the following qualifications:

Option 1

• Bachelor’s Degree in:
  • Management
  • Commerce
  • Finance
  • Accountancy

recognized by the University Grants Commission (UGC)

Option 2

• Higher National Diploma in Commerce (HNDC) from SLIATE

OR

• Higher National Diploma in Accountancy (HNDA)

Option 3

• Intermediate qualification from:
  • Institute of Chartered Accountants of Sri Lanka (ICASL)
  • Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (CIMA)
  • Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA)

Internal Applicants

Applicants should possess:

• Qualifications required for external applicants

OR

• Minimum 05 years of satisfactory service in:
  • Finance or Audit post under Operational / Instructor Services (MA 4)

OR

• Financial or Audit sector Grade II post under Management Assistant – Non-Technology category (MA 1-2).

Age Limit

• Minimum Age: 22 Years
• Maximum Age: 45 Years

The age limit does not apply to officers already employed in government or statutory institutions.
