Job Description

Electro Serv Lanka (Pvt) Ltd is seeking a dynamic, versatile, and self-motivated Draughtsman / Designer to join its engineering team. The selected candidate will prepare and revise electrical drawings, schematics, layouts, and construction details using CAD software while supporting engineering and project teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and revise:
  • Electrical drawings
  • Schematics
  • Layouts
  • Construction details
• Develop:
  • Single Line Diagrams (SLD)
  • Panel layouts
  • Cable tray routing drawings
  • Shop drawings and as-built drawings
• Coordinate with electrical engineers and project teams regarding design requirements and site conditions.
• Ensure drawings comply with:
  • Local electrical standards
  • Regulations
  • Project specifications
• Maintain drawing registers and document control procedures.
• Update revised drawings with site changes and markups.
• Support quantity take-offs and material estimations.
• Conduct drawing checks for:
  • Accuracy
  • Completeness
  • Consistency
• Liaise with supervisors and subcontractors regarding drawing clarifications.
• Archive and maintain project-related design documentation.

Required Qualifications

• Diploma or Certificate in:
  • Drafting
  • Electrical Engineering
  • Related technical field
• Minimum 1–2 years of experience in electrical drafting within the construction industry.
• Proficiency in:
  • AutoCAD
  • WSCAD
  • MS Office applications

Preferred Skills

• Knowledge of LV/MV electrical systems.
• Familiarity with local authority submission requirements.
• Ability to perform:
  • Basic electrical calculations
  • Material take-offs
• Strong technical drafting and coordination skills.
• Good analytical and communication abilities.

Age Requirement

• Candidates should be between 25–35 years of age.
