About the Organization

Colombo Young Men’s Buddhist Association (YMBA) is seeking a dynamic and capable individual for the position of Technical Executive. The selected candidate will be responsible for overseeing maintenance operations, technical upgrades, inspections, and property management activities within the organization.

Job Description

The Technical Executive will manage building and facility maintenance operations, coordinate with vendors and contractors, oversee inspections and upgrades, and ensure compliance with health and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan, schedule, and supervise:
  • Preventive maintenance
  • Corrective maintenance
  • Building and facility maintenance
• Conduct property inspections and quality assurance activities.
• Handle procurement, vendor management, and contractor coordination.
• Ensure health, safety, and compliance standards are maintained.
• Manage budgeting and cost control for:
  • Maintenance
  • Upgrades
  • New constructions
• Provide tenant support and issue resolution.
• Recommend and implement:
  • Renovations
  • Refurbishments
  • Technical upgrades
• Maintain documentation and reporting related to maintenance and construction activities.
• Attend to emergency repairs and breakdown management.
• Maintain inventory records.
• Perform any other duties assigned by the association.

Required Qualifications and Skills

• Degree or technical qualification not below NVQ Level 6 or equivalent from a recognized university or technical institute.
• Proven experience in a similar position.
• Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• Fluency in:
  • English
  • Sinhala
• Strong IT literacy.
