Selected candidates may be assigned to any VTA work station islandwide based on service requirements.

Salary Scale

As per Public Administration Circular No. 01/2025:

• Salary Scale: Rs. 72,650 – 10 x 1,360 – 18 x 2,040 – 122,970
• Salary Step from 01.01.2025: Rs. 65,633.00
• Government approved allowances applicable

Job Responsibilities

• Coordinate vocational training programmes and institutional activities.
• Support planning, implementation, and monitoring of educational programmes.
• Prepare programme reports, operational documents, and administrative records.
• Assist in institutional development and operational coordination activities.
• Work closely with training centers, instructors, and management teams.
• Support programme quality improvement and organizational objectives.
• Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders when required.

Required Qualifications

External Applicants

Applicants should possess:

• A Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant field recognized by the University Grants Commission (UGC).

Internal Applicants

Applicants should possess:

• Qualifications required for external applicants

OR

• Minimum 05 years of satisfactory service in:
  • Programme Officer post under Operational / Instructor Services (MA 4)

OR

• Associated Officer post under MA 3 category.

Age Limit

• Minimum Age: 22 Years
• Maximum Age: 45 Years

The age limit does not apply to officers already employed in government or statutory institutions.

Recruitment will be conducted through:

• Written competitive examination and/or
• Structured interview conducted by an approved board

The final decision regarding recruitment will be made by the Chairman and Board of Directors of the Vocational Training Authority of Sri Lanka.
