Job Summary

LB Finance PLC is seeking a proactive, detail-oriented professional to join its Compliance Department. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, strengthening governance practices, managing AML/CFT obligations, and supporting the organization’s commitment to ethical and compliant business operations.

Key Responsibilities

The selected candidate will be responsible for:

• Ensuring compliance with the regulatory requirements of the Central Bank of Sri Lanka (CBSL), Financial Intelligence Unit (FIU), and other applicable laws and regulations.
• Identifying compliance gaps, recommending corrective actions, and escalating significant matters to management and relevant committees.
• Supervising the preparation and timely submission of statutory reports, including GoAML reporting and other regulatory returns.
• Responding to regulatory queries and requests from the FIU, CBSL, and other regulatory or law enforcement authorities.
• Coordinating regulatory inspections, onsite examinations, and compliance reviews.
• Supervising compliance monitoring, branch audits, and AML/CFT reviews to ensure adherence to regulatory requirements and internal policies.
• Developing, reviewing, and updating compliance policies, procedures, and internal guidelines.
• Conducting compliance awareness programs and employee training sessions.
• Monitoring regulatory complaints and coordinating timely resolutions with relevant departments.
• Providing compliance advice and operational support to business units.
• Performing any other duties assigned by the Compliance Officer or Management.

Qualifications & Experience

Applicants should possess:

• A Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management, Finance, Law, Banking, or a related discipline.
• Minimum 4 years of experience in Compliance, Regulatory Compliance, AML/CFT, Risk, Audit, or a related function within the banking or financial services industry.
• Professional qualifications in Compliance, AML/CFT, Governance, Risk Management, or related disciplines will be considered an added advantage.
