Qualifications & Experience

• Minimum 2 years of experience in Gold Loan operations.
• Sound knowledge of gold loan appraisal procedures.
• Good understanding of gold loan disbursement procedures.
• Knowledge of gold custody and recovery procedures.
• Understanding of branch operational controls and procedures.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Good awareness of fraud risks associated with gold loan operations.
• Ability to identify operational irregularities and control weaknesses.
• Willingness to travel and support branch monitoring activities when required.

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor and review gold loan operations at branches.
• Review gold loan appraisal procedures and ensure proper processes are followed.
• Verify compliance with established policies and operational procedures.
• Monitor gold loan disbursement activities and related documentation.
• Review gold custody procedures and ensure appropriate controls are maintained.
• Monitor recovery procedures relating to gold loans.
• Identify potential operational weaknesses and fraud risk exposures.
• Conduct periodic branch inspections and reviews relating to gold loan operations.
• Report significant observations and control weaknesses to management.
• Recommend appropriate corrective actions and follow up on implementation.
• Support risk management and internal control enhancement initiatives.
• Maintain accurate monitoring records and prepare relevant reports.
