Company Overview

Lakmo Homes (Pvt) Ltd is engaged in the import and distribution of poultry equipment. The company is seeking accounting professionals to support its financial operations and contribute to the continued growth of its business.

Qualifications & Experience

• Diploma or Degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field.
• 1–3 years of relevant accounting experience.
• Experience preferably in a trading, importing, distribution or similar business environment.
• Practical knowledge of BUSY Accounting Software will be an added advantage.
• Good knowledge of bookkeeping and accounting principles.
• Experience handling accounts payable, accounts receivable, bank reconciliations and inventory accounts.
• Knowledge of import-related accounting will be an added advantage.
• Good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain accurate books of accounts and accounting records.
• Maintain accounts in accordance with applicable accounting standards and company policies.
• Prepare and monitor outstanding receivable and payable schedules.
• Follow up on customer collections.
• Verify supplier invoices and arrange payments according to approved procedures.
• Reconcile customer and supplier statements.
• Perform monthly bank reconciliations.
• Monitor cash balances and expected payments.
• Assist management with cash-flow planning.
• Reconcile accounting stock records with physical stock.
• Prepare schedules and documentation for applicable VAT, SSCL and other taxes.
• Assist with the preparation and submission of relevant tax returns, forms and payment arrangements.
• Prepare EPF and ETF schedules and arrange timely payments and relevant forms.
• Monitor statutory deadlines and ensure compliance.
• Coordinate with tax advisers, auditors and relevant authorities when required.
• Prepare monthly payroll and salary schedules.
• Calculate EPF, ETF and other applicable payroll deductions.
• Prepare monthly management accounts and financial reports.

Month-End & Year-End Closing

• Complete month-end accounting procedures.
• Make accruals, prepayments, depreciation and other necessary adjustments.
• Reconcile balance sheet accounts.
• Assist in preparing year-end accounts and schedules.
• Check invoices and supporting documents before processing.
• Identify accounting errors, discrepancies or unusual transactions.
• Recommend improvements to accounting procedures where necessary.
• Prepare financial analysis and reports requested by management.
• Assist with budgeting and forecasting.
• Monitor expenses against budgets.
• Provide information for pricing, purchasing and investment decisions.
