Qualifications & Experience

• Full or part professional qualification in Accounting, such as ACA, ACMA, or ACCA.
• A Degree in Finance or Accounting will also be considered.
• Full or part qualification in a tax-related discipline will be an added advantage.
• Minimum 2–3 years of experience in tax compliance work.
• Strong analytical and technical skills with a good aptitude for numbers.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• High level of computer literacy.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
• Ability and willingness to work long hours when required.
• Ability to meet strict deadlines.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare tax computations including Income Tax, VAT, FS VAT, SSCL, APIT, WHT, Stamp Duty, and other applicable taxes in accordance with prevailing tax laws.
• Prepare and file tax returns accurately within statutory deadlines.
• Monitor tax payments and prepare tax-related reconciliations.
• Handle tax documentation and maintain records and supporting documents relating to tax computations and assessments.
• Liaise with the Bank’s tax consultant, Department of Inland Revenue, and other relevant authorities on taxation-related matters.
• Monitor changes in tax regulations and analyze their impact on the Bank’s operations.
• Provide appropriate support and advice regarding changes in taxation requirements.
• Assist in preparing periodic financial reports.
• Assist with General Ledger reconciliations.
• Support SLFRS-related computations and reporting.
• Assist with MIS and regulatory reporting requirements when necessary.
• Provide support during external and internal audits.
• Assist in ensuring the efficient and seamless functioning of the Finance Department.
• Ensure finance and taxation activities comply with applicable regulatory and internal requirements.
