Qualifications & Experience

Applicants should meet the following requirements:

• Minimum 3+ years of experience as a Butcher in a:
  • Hotel
  • Restaurant
  • Supermarket
  • Meat processing facility
  • Catering operation
• Excellent knowledge of meat cuts, portioning, deboning, trimming and processing techniques.
• Experience handling beef, chicken, mutton, pork and seafood.
• Knowledge of food safety, hygiene and HACCP standards.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced food production environment.
• Physically fit and able to perform heavy lifting when required.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

Key Responsibilities

• Cut, trim, debone and portion meat, poultry and seafood according to company standards.
• Prepare meat products for restaurant and large-scale catering operations.
• Ensure proper handling, storage and labelling of raw materials.
• Maintain high standards of food safety, hygiene and sanitation.
• Monitor stock levels and report shortages to the Store and Kitchen departments.
• Minimize food wastage through proper cutting techniques and portion control.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the butcher section and equipment.
• Support kitchen operations during busy production periods.
