LOLC Life Assurance is seeking an experienced and result-oriented professional to join its team as an Associate Manager – Takaful Life Operations. The selected candidate will be responsible for managing end-to-end Takaful life operations, ensuring compliance with approved policies, regulatory requirements, and delivering operational excellence.

This role is ideal for an insurance professional with strong knowledge of Life Insurance operations, Takaful principles, underwriting, policy servicing, claims administration, and stakeholder management.

Qualifications & Experience

• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in Life Insurance or Takaful operations.
• Experience in underwriting, policy servicing, and claims management.
• Strong knowledge of Takaful principles, Shariah governance requirements, and regulatory standards.
• Professional qualifications in Insurance and/or Takaful will be an added advantage.
• Strong analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple responsibilities effectively.
• Fluency in Sinhala, Tamil, and English with excellent interpersonal and relationship management skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and perform effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end Life Takaful operations according to approved policies, procedures, and operational guidelines.
• Ensure compliance with Shariah governance requirements and applicable regulatory standards.
• Coordinate with the Shariah Supervisory Board (SSB) and handle reporting, audit, and compliance requirements.
• Manage new business underwriting, tele-underwriting, policy servicing, and claims administration processes.
• Provide guidance, training, and operational support on Takaful-related matters.
• Support business growth initiatives and maintain effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
• Ensure timely preparation and submission of operational, regulatory, and compliance reports.
• Monitor operational performance and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and service quality.
• Ensure operational activities comply with company policies and industry standards.
