LankaPay (Pvt) Ltd is seeking an experienced and dynamic Business Development professional to drive business growth, market expansion, partnership development, and adoption of digital payment solutions. The selected candidate will play a key role in strengthening relationships across the banking, financial services, and payments ecosystem while contributing to LankaPay’s strategic business objectives.

LankaPay (Pvt) Ltd is the operator of Sri Lanka’s National Payment Network, operating under the guidance of the Central Bank of Sri Lanka. The company facilitates secure and convenient digital payment services while supporting the growth of Sri Lanka’s financial technology ecosystem.

LankaPay works with banks, financial institutions, technology partners, and other stakeholders to enhance digital payment adoption and deliver innovative payment solutions across Sri Lanka.

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management, Marketing, IT, or a related discipline.
• CIM, SLIM, or an equivalent professional qualification will be an added advantage.
• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in sales, pre-sales, business development, or relationship management.
• Experience in banking, financial services, fintech, or payment systems will be highly advantageous.
• Experience in financial technology, mobile payments, or digital payment solutions will be an added advantage.
• Sound understanding of the evolving payments landscape.
• Proven experience in business development, negotiation, communication, and relationship management.
• Ability to identify opportunities and deliver measurable business results.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and execute business growth strategies, promotional activities, customer acquisition initiatives, and onboarding campaigns aligned with LankaPay objectives.
• Drive market expansion and transaction growth through strategic partnerships, joint initiatives, and targeted customer engagement.
• Identify and convert new business opportunities, partnerships, and market segments to adopt business technology solutions.
• Collaborate with technology, product teams, and stakeholders to identify opportunities, enhance product capabilities, and support business growth.
• Strengthen relationships with banks, financial institutions, technology partners, vendors, and key stakeholders.
• Drive awareness, acceptance, and adoption of technology solutions among banks, NBFIs, fintech companies, merchants, and the wider public.
• Monitor market trends and emerging payment technologies.
• Ensure timely execution of business initiatives while maintaining service excellence and accountability.
• Work collaboratively with internal and external teams to achieve business and revenue objectives.
