Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor’s Degree or an equivalent professional qualification in Business, Law, Finance, Accounting, Risk Management, Compliance, or a related discipline.
• Minimum of 3–5 years of experience in risk management, compliance, audit, or regulatory roles.
• Previous experience in the financial services or capital market sector is highly preferred.
• Strong understanding of regulatory compliance and governance frameworks.
• Knowledge of Sri Lankan financial regulations and compliance standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with regulations issued by the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), Colombo Stock Exchange (CSE), Central Depository Systems (CDS), and other regulatory authorities.
• Develop, implement, and monitor compliance policies, risk management frameworks, and internal controls.
• Prepare and submit regulatory filings, reports, and mandatory disclosures within required timelines.
• Liaise with regulatory authorities and represent the company on compliance-related matters.
• Conduct compliance and risk audits while recommending corrective actions and monitoring implementation.
• Oversee fraud risk management, operational risk, and review debtor policies.
• Prepare compliance and risk reports for senior management and the Board of Directors.
• Review legal agreements, investigate customer complaints, and monitor suspicious transactions.
• Conduct employee compliance training and oversee staff trading compliance.
