The successful candidate will be responsible for planning and coordinating production activities, ensuring efficient manufacturing operations, maintaining quality and safety standards, and driving continuous process improvements within the dairy production environment.

Qualifications & Experience

Applicants should possess the following qualifications and experience:

• Bachelor’s Degree (B.Sc.) in Food Science, Food Technology, or a related discipline.
• Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in FMCG, production, or manufacturing.
• Alternatively, a Higher National Diploma in Food Science or Food Technology with 5 years of relevant industry experience will be considered.
• Knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), Quality Assurance processes, HACCP, and food safety systems.
• Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles will be an added advantage.
• Good communication skills in English, Sinhala, and Tamil.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and IT systems.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan production schedules based on targets, forecasts, and stock availability.
• Coordinate daily production operations to ensure production targets are achieved while maintaining quality standards.
• Monitor raw material availability and coordinate production planning accordingly.
• Oversee material receipts, work order documentation, and timely handover of finished goods.
• Monitor production KPIs and prepare daily, weekly, and monthly reports for management.
• Drive efficiency improvements while controlling production costs.
• Promote teamwork and ensure compliance with company policies and manufacturing standards.
• Ensure strict adherence to safety procedures, quality standards, and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
• Coordinate preventive maintenance activities with the maintenance team.
• Perform additional production-related duties assigned by management.
