Position Details
Position: Application Support Engineer
The Application Support Engineer will be responsible for maintaining enterprise applications, resolving production incidents, supporting end-of-day processing, monitoring system performance, and collaborating with business users, developers, vendors, and infrastructure teams to ensure uninterrupted business operations.

Qualifications & Experience
- Minimum 5 years of experience in Application Support, Application Administration, or IT Operations.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Management Information Systems (MIS), or an equivalent professional qualification.
- ITIL Foundation, Microsoft Dynamics, Database, or related certifications will be an added advantage.
- Strong experience supporting mission-critical enterprise systems.
- Excellent SQL querying skills using SQL Server, PostgreSQL, Oracle, or similar databases.
- Experience with systems analysis, API diagnostics, integration troubleshooting, and log analysis.
- Working knowledge of Core Banking and ERP systems.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including Pivot Tables, statistical functions, and data visualization.
- Strong Microsoft Word documentation skills.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain uptime and performance of core systems including Finacle, LIME, Microsoft Dynamics, and other enterprise applications.
- Manage user access, application configurations, and End-of-Day (EOD) processing for Pawning, Factoring, and other business-critical systems.
- Resolve production incidents within SLA timelines and perform backend troubleshooting using SQL queries.
- Conduct Root Cause Analysis (RCA) for recurring technical issues.
- Act as the technical liaison between business users, vendors, developers, and infrastructure teams.
- Support User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and assess system impacts during application upgrades and changes.
- Monitor application performance through dashboards, alerts, and operational monitoring tools.
- Generate operational reports and analyze business data using advanced Microsoft Excel.
- Identify automation opportunities to improve support workflows and operational efficiency.
- Ensure application availability, stability, and compliance with organizational standards.
