Position Details

The Manager (Compliance) will support the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of the Bank’s AML/CFT/CPF compliance framework. The role involves transaction monitoring, regulatory compliance reviews, customer due diligence, sanctions screening, risk assessments, policy development, staff awareness programs, and ensuring compliance with Central Bank regulations and international standards.

Qualifications & Experience

• Minimum 8 years of experience in the banking or financial services sector.
• Degree recognized by the University Grants Commission (UGC) or full professional qualification in Banking & Finance, Business Management, or another relevant discipline.
• At least 3 years of experience in handling AML/CFT-related compliance matters in a bank or financial institution at Senior Executive level or above will be an added advantage.
• Strong knowledge of AML, CFT, CPF, KYC, CDD, EDD, sanctions screening, and regulatory compliance.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and teamwork abilities.
• Self-motivated individual with the willingness to keep up to date with emerging compliance regulations and industry best practices.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in developing and maintaining the Bank’s AML/CFT/CPF compliance framework.
• Monitor daily transactions using AML monitoring systems and investigate suspicious activities.
• Prepare and coordinate Suspicious Transaction Reports (STRs) with relevant branches.
• Conduct awareness and training sessions on AML/CFT/CPF requirements for Bank staff.
• Perform Know Your Customer (KYC), Customer Due Diligence (CDD), Enhanced Due Diligence (EDD), sanctions screening, Politically Exposed Person (PEP), and beneficial ownership identification reviews.
• Liaise with internal departments to resolve AML-related issues and maintain AML policies and procedures.
• Review and update AML-related policies annually in line with regulatory requirements.
• Maintain and communicate updated PEP lists across the organization.
• Conduct AML/CFT/CPF risk assessments and compliance testing across branches and departments.
• Evaluate compliance risks and prepare reports for relevant management committees.
• Ensure timely follow-up on compliance findings, audit observations, and training initiatives.
• Support the continuous enhancement of compliance systems and regulatory controls.
