Qualifications & Experience

External Applicants

Applicants should possess:

• A certificate not below National Vocational Qualification (NVQ) Level 2 in:
  • Food and Beverage Preparation and Service
• Qualification should be obtained from a Technical or Vocational Training Institute recognized by the Tertiary and Vocational Education Commission (TVEC).

Internal Applicants

Applicants should possess:

• The qualifications required for external applicants.

Age Requirement

• Minimum Age: 18 years
• Maximum Age: 45 years

The upper age limit does not apply to internal candidates.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook meals according to institutional requirements.
• Maintain hygiene and food safety standards in the kitchen.
• Assist in meal planning and food preparation activities.
• Ensure proper storage and handling of food items.
• Maintain cleanliness of kitchen equipment and work areas.
• Support catering requirements for institutional programs and events.

Required Skills

• Knowledge of food preparation and cooking techniques.
• Understanding of food hygiene and safety practices.
• Ability to work efficiently in a team environment.
• Time management and organizational skills.
• Attention to cleanliness and quality standards.

Salary & Benefits

Salary Scale

PL2 Salary Scale:

Rs. 42,300 – 10×490 – 10×540 – 10×590 – 12×630 – 66,060

Starting Salary

Rs. 40,008 per month
