Position Details

Cargills Bank PLC is seeking experienced and results-oriented professionals to join its team as Credit Officers in the Western Province. The role focuses on credit portfolio growth, customer acquisition, credit analysis, and relationship management while ensuring sound lending practices and timely credit approvals.

Qualifications & Experience

• Minimum 5 years of banking experience, with at least 3 years in a credit-related role.
• Full or Part qualification in Banking, Credit Management, or International Trade will be an added advantage.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Good analytical skills with the ability to understand and interpret financial statements.
• Flair for marketing with an outgoing personality.

Key Responsibilities

• Meet new customers and provide financial solutions to their requirements.
• Assist the Branch Manager in achieving annual budgeted credit targets and branch growth objectives.
• Prepare credit proposals, including financial analysis, risk analysis, and other required assessments.
• Liaise with the Bank’s credit approval authorities to obtain timely approvals.
• Accompany the Branch Manager or Relationship Manager on client visits and meetings.
• Conduct periodic reviews of revolving and other credit facilities.
• Monitor the branch credit portfolio and provide solutions to customers facing repayment difficulties.
