Reporting Line

The selected candidate will report directly to the Board Integrated Risk Management Committee (BIRMC) while maintaining close coordination with the Board of Directors and Corporate Management.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and oversee the overall Risk Management function of the company
• Develop, implement, and continuously enhance the Enterprise Risk Management Framework
• Monitor and manage credit, operational, market, liquidity, compliance, reputational, and strategic risks
• Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements issued by the Central Bank of Sri Lanka and other applicable regulations
• Provide independent risk assessments and strategic recommendations to the Board and Senior Management
• Promote and strengthen a risk-aware culture across the organization
• Ensure effective risk reporting, policy formulation, and governance practices
• Liaise with regulators, auditors, and other key stakeholders on risk-related matters

Qualifications & Experience

Applicants should possess:

• A degree in Finance, Banking, Accountancy, Risk Management, Business Management, or a related field from a recognized university
• Professional qualifications in Banking, Finance, Risk Management, or Accountancy will be an added advantage
• Minimum of 6 years’ experience in the banking or financial services sector with substantial exposure in Risk Management at a senior managerial level
• Strong knowledge of risk governance frameworks, regulatory requirements, and financial industry best practices
• Excellent analytical, leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills
