Qualifications & Experience

• Degree in Finance, Accountancy, or a related field
• Partial professional qualification from recognized institutions such as ICASL, ACCA, or CIMA
• 1–2 years of experience in a related accounting or finance role
• Sound knowledge of financial accounting, taxation, and auditing
• Hands-on experience with computerized accounting packages and MS Office applications
• Experience in ERP or accounting system implementations will be an added advantage
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English and Sinhala
• Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving capabilities
• Ability to make timely decisions while maintaining ethical and professional standards

Key Responsibilities

• Handle core accounting operations including bank reconciliations, balance sheet reconciliations, payment voucher processing, journal entries, and petty cash management
• Support fund transfers, month-end financial reporting, and monthly tax return preparation
• Assist the Manager – Finance & Accounting in preparing financial statements and ad-hoc reports
• Formulate and implement effective financial policies and procedures
• Maintain the company fixed assets register and follow up on receivables and payables
• Liaise with operations, projects, and other departments to support business requirements
• Ensure compliance with company regulations, BOI requirements, taxation rules, and other applicable regulations
• Support continuous improvement initiatives within finance and accounting operations
