Samson Rubber Industries (Pvt) Ltd is seeking an experienced Auto Engineer – Fleet Management to oversee and optimize fleet operations under the DSI Tyres division. The selected candidate will be responsible for vehicle maintenance coordination, fleet performance monitoring, workshop management, safety compliance, and minimizing operational downtime across the company fleet.

Qualifications & Experience

• HNDE in Automobile Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field
• Minimum 3–5 years of experience in fleet management or automotive maintenance
• Strong knowledge of vehicle diagnostics, repair processes, and preventive maintenance systems
• Proficiency in fleet management software and MS Office applications
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and coordination abilities
• Valid driving license (heavy vehicle license will be an added advantage)

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee maintenance, repair, and servicing schedules of company vehicles
• Develop and implement preventive maintenance programs for the fleet
• Diagnose vehicle issues and provide technical guidance to mechanics and service teams
• Coordinate with suppliers, garages, and insurance providers for timely repairs and renewals
• Monitor fuel consumption, mileage, and service records for operational efficiency
• Manage vehicle registration, licensing, and regulatory compliance activities
• Prepare and manage annual fleet maintenance budgets
• Ensure all vehicles comply with safety, emission, and operational standards
• Conduct inspections and audits to maintain fleet reliability and roadworthiness
• Recommend fleet upgrades or vehicle replacements based on cost-benefit analysis
