Job Overview

The selected candidate will be responsible for installing, maintaining, repairing, and supporting fiber optic telecom infrastructure projects including OSP, FTTH, and network maintenance operations.

Job Profile

• Install, maintain, and repair outside plant telecom infrastructure including fiber optic and related network cabling
• Perform aerial and underground cable laying, cable jointing, termination, splicing, testing, and restoration
• Assist with tower-related and network support activities including grounding, inspection, and maintenance
• Work with field teams using tools, vehicles, and technical support equipment to complete service orders and network jobs
• Conduct troubleshooting and fault-finding activities related to telecom cable systems

Qualifications

• Skilled Competence Certificate in Telecommunications, Electrical, or equivalent NVQ Level 4 qualification
• Minimum 2 years of experience in fiber optic or telecom project execution
• Field experience in telecom OSP, FTTH, or network maintenance will be an added advantage
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines

Required Skills

• Strong knowledge of fiber optic and copper outside plant systems
• Ability to safely use hand and power tools
• Knowledge in splicing, termination, testing, troubleshooting, and restoration
• Understanding of OTDR, fiber testing, and telecom diagnostic equipment
• Good teamwork, customer handling, and field reporting skills
• Physical fitness and ability to work outdoors and at heights
