Sri Lanka Standards Institution (SLSI) is inviting applications for the post of Assistant Director (Technical – Textile) under the Middle Manager Category (MM 1-1). Sri Lanka Standards Institution (SLSI) is the national body responsible for standards development, testing, certification, and quality assurance services in Sri Lanka.

Required Qualifications

External Candidates

Applicants should possess:

• A Bachelor’s Degree recognized by the University Grants Commission (UGC) of Sri Lanka in:
  • Textile
  • Textile Engineering
  • Physical Sciences (Chemistry or Physics as a subject)
  • Or any other degree relevant to the subject area

OR

• A Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering recognized by the UGC in:
  • Textile
  • Textile Engineering
  • Physical Sciences
  • Chemistry
  • Or any other relevant field related to the subject area

AND

• Minimum one year post-qualifying experience in the relevant field after obtaining the first degree.

Internal Candidates

Applicants should either:

• Possess the qualifications required for external candidates

OR

• Have completed minimum 05 years satisfactory service in Junior Manager Category (JM) relevant to the subject area.

Selection Method

Selection will be based on:

• Written Competitive Examination and/or
• Structured Interview

Examination Subjects

• English Language Proficiency
• Aptitude Test

Salary Scale

• Salary Scale:
  • LKR 91,690 – 168,240

Implementation as per Management Services Circular 01/2025:

• 2026 Salary: LKR 81,710
• 2027 Salary: LKR 91,690

Age Limit

• Minimum Age: 22 years
• Maximum Age: 45 years
• Upper age limit is not applicable for internal candidates.
