Organization Overview
The Sri Lanka Tea Board is the apex body of the tea industry in Sri Lanka. The Board is seeking dynamic and result-oriented individuals with strong leadership and HR management capabilities to support its administrative and human resource operations.
Job Responsibilities
The selected candidate will be responsible for:
- Managing administration functions including:
- Transport
- Security
- Library
- Maintenance activities
- Formulating, implementing, monitoring, and evaluating HR management and development activities
- Monitoring annual physical and financial targets
- Supporting performance appraisal activities under the guidance of the Director General and Chairman of the Board
Required Qualifications
External Candidates
Applicants should possess:
- Bachelor’s Degree in:
- Management
- Public Administration
- Business Administration
- Human Resources Management
- LLB
- Degree must be from a university recognized by the University Grants Commission of Sri Lanka
- Postgraduate Degree (Master’s) in:
- Management
- Public Administration
- Business Administration
Experience
- Minimum 15 years of managerial-level experience after obtaining the first degree
- Proven track record in Administration & HR within a recognized organization
Internal Candidate Requirements
Internal applicants should:
- Possess the qualifications required for external candidates
- Have minimum 5 years of satisfactory service in the Middle Managerial Category Grade I in Sri Lanka Tea Board relevant field
Salary Scale
- HM 1-1 Salary Scale:
- Rs. 140,640 – 202,140
- Applicable salary step as per DMS 01/2025 Schedule II:
- Rs. 123,019 per month
Age Limit
- Minimum Age: 35 years
- Maximum Age: 50 years
- Upper age limit does not apply to internal candidates
Benefits
- Employees’ Provident Fund:
- Employee contribution: 10%
- Employer contribution: 15%
- Employees’ Trust Fund:
- Employer contribution: 3%
